The Lincolnshire Open Research and Innovation Centre has been founded as a hub of knowledge exchange.

As such, we are proud to offer spaces for events that bring together industry and academia, to further community cohesion, and to offer organisations spaces to work and hold events in the heart of Lincoln.

In addition to the equipment available in each room, we have a flip chart that we can offer, materials for creative activities, writing boards, and we can request additional IT equipment with enough advance notice.

Here is all the information on our current rooms:

Boardroom

Seats: 14-16 people, boardroom style.
A/V Options: Smart board with USB and HTML connections. Some wireless connectivity possible, depending on the make and model of the trainer’s devices.
Other Features: Flipchart available.
Accessibility: Level access from ground floor.
WiFi: Available.
Configuration: Board style.
Reconfiguration options: Very Limited.
Great for: Official meetings, training events, or round table discussions.

Conference Room

Seats: up to 25-30 people, classroom style.
A/V Options: Smart board with USB and HTML connections. Some wireless connectivity possible, depending on the make and model of the trainer’s devices.
Other Features: Coat hooks, lockers, flipchart.
Accessibility: Level access from ground floor.
WiFi: Available.
Configuration: Classroom style.
Reconfiguration options: Several, including the possibility to take away the chairs and set the room up for a standing event.
Great for: Presentations, lectures, training events, informal networking.

Collaboration Space

Seats: Up to 15 people around the various parts of the room.
A/V Options: Two small Smart Boards, excellent for connected meetings.
Other Features: Large writing board.
Accessibility: The room is on the first floor, accessible through the stairs or elevator. Disabled toilets are on the ground floor, though, and there are fire doors present.
WiFi: Available.
Configuration: Small seating areas for informal discussions.
Reconfiguration options: Several.
Great for: Informal meetings, research with large groups, hot-desking, collaboration work.

Innovation Space

Seats: Up to 10 people around the various parts of the room.

A/V Options: TBC

Other Features: Small whiteboard.

Accessibility: Not fully accessible. The room is on the first floor, accessible via the stairs or elevator. The room is accessed by going down two steep steps.

WiFi: Available.

Configuration: Small seating areas for informal discussions.

Reconfiguration options: Several.

Great for: Informal meetings, smaller meetings, interviews, hot-desking, collaboration work.
