What is the business?

Boston Amateur Swimming Club is a swimming club based in Boston, Lincolnshire, founded in 1887. The club is affiliated with the East Midlands Region and the Lincoln Amateur Swimming Association (ASA). It functions as a vital community hub, offering swimming opportunities for individuals of all ages and skill levels and serving the local community for roughly 140 years.

How did LORIC help?

  • LORIC provided research focusing on swimming facilities, social inequality, drowning, and known benefits of swimming in the form of a comprehensive report for the club to support grant and funding applications

Plans for the future:

Boston Amateur Swimming Club intend to use the research gathered by LORIC and presented in the report towards securing future financial support, supporting the club's ongoing and future operations with the hope of ensuring it can remain a pillar of the local community.

The research document has been integral in shaping our recent Sport England application. While we don’t yet know the outcome of our grant application, we will absolutely be using the document to support future funding opportunities as well. Charlotte’s work has been invaluable in this process
