What is the business?

Qualified osteopath and business founder, Kerry Francis is dedicated to injury prevention and promoting well-being. Next year, her business will relocate to new premises in Sibsey, Lincolnshire, with new premises featuring a rehab room with weights to help individuals over 30 build muscle and improve lifestyle habits, both in the clinic and at home. Passionate about lifestyle medicine, Kerry is committed to empowering people to lead healthy lives and positively impact her local community.

How did LORIC help?

  • LORIC provided a report on available funding and grants for Kerry’s business.
  • LORIC directed Kerry to organisations for business planning support.
  • LORIC researched loneliness in older adults to support Kerry’s "Purposely Matched" befriending concept and presented findings in a report.
  • LORIC compiled evidence to support the 6 Pillars of Health and the role of weight use in improving muscle mass in older adults, presenting the data in a report for the business.

Plans for the future:

Kerry plans to explore funding and grants to grow her business, using LORIC's research to guide her planning and enhance sustainability. She also aims to address loneliness, especially among older clients, by introducing a befriending service, "Purposely Matched," to foster new friendships in her community. Additionally, Kerry intends to gain qualifications to run a 12-week lifestyle course focused on the six pillars of lifestyle medicine, with an emphasis on safe weightlifting practices at her new business location.

Charlotte’s support has been instrumental in helping me establish the foundation of my business plan and has given me confidence that funding is available… and increased my business sustainability. I doubt I would have been able to progress with my business plan had it not been for Charlotte’s work.
